The IFOTM Digital Archive is currently under construction—again. Due to potential computer security problems caused by Coppermine Gallery, I have been forced to completely rebuild the archive from the ground up. FYI: Coppermine Gallery is a php-based photo gallery that comes free with our website. It is a quite powerful, feature-ladened open source Unix program. Unfortunately its open nature also allows for potential invasion by hackers. Several months ago Google informed me of a potential back door in the program, so I updated to the latest version of Coppermine, which supposedly included the bug fix. After much effort on my part, Google blessed the site as being safe. Recently, however, new security warnings have appeared. I felt it was time to abandon the program altogether, despite the tremendous amount of time and brain cells already invested in it. To my knowledge, no actual viruses have appeared on the site and none have been passed on to any site visitors, but the potential was there and the warnings obvious. Please visit the site again in a few weeks.
